"Ndaya as a Demon" Is a portrait of Ilunga as a Demon with Devil horns, pointed pierced ears and her tongue out and extended with a snake like spilt at the end. This is a symbol of Ilunga's fascination with religious theories. African families, specifically Ilunga's family - was very religious and anything that was not Roman Catholic was deemed demonic. This instilled a paranoid and neurotic self dialog within her consciousness. The fear of being demonic scared Ilunga into figuring out that, that state of being was a false narrative African parents spread to their children in order to pacify them into being whoever they mould them to be.
