Ilunga's artwork, "Nous Changeon," is a reimagined rendition of Sir Joshua Reynolds' "Lady Caroline Scott as winter," painted in 1776. The piece presents a cemetery as the backdrop and alludes to an unfinished element on the surface. The modified painting is coated with a green layer reminiscent of Fauna. The artwork seeks to fuse two different worlds to convey an unsettling merging of the past and present, the old and new, and nature and nurture. The greenish-yellow hue can also symbolize a renewal of life.
