"Une" depicts a woman with long braids and a fur coat. She appears to be looking through/at the viewer and covers her face and body with her hands and the coat. The skin is represented in flat black and occupies the left side of the composition. The right side of the artwork features an abstract abyss that resembles fur and is rendered in shades of red that blend into the background. The title, "Une", meaning "one" in French, may allude to the woman's solitary and introspective posture.
